Named after Viv Nicholson, celebrity pools winner, who appeared on the cover of The Smiths' single "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" - there's nothing miserable about this fabulously spangly pencil dress made from bronze lurex with velvet collar and velvet covered buttons. The bodice of the dress is lined and it fastens with the three buttons at the front and a side zip. It features a belt made from the same fabric as the dress and comes with a spare button. Please note that you might find the side zip a little stiff to begin with.

This is such an authentic-looking dress - I'm really pleased with it!

Named after Tiller Girl, actress and comedian Avril Angers, who appeared on the cover of The Smiths' single "I Started Something I Couldn't Finish", this is a fabulously luxurious circle dress made from 100% wool crepe. It has a wonderful sheen, a little stretch and drapes beautifully. The neckline has lovely 'tie' detail. The dress is lined throughout and it fastens with the side zip. It features a belt made from the same fabric as the dress. Please note that you might find the side zip a little stiff to begin with.

I really think you'll be impressed by how authentic this dress looks and its high quality of workmanship, as well as how luxurious the fabric is.

As the wool doesn't stretch, you may find that it's worth going up a size from what you would normally wear. eg. if you usually wear a 2X in Bettie Page Clothing you can fit into the 2X Avril, but the 3X Avril fits more comfortably.

Every woman needs a little black dress. This slinky sleeveless number hugs your curves and has a square neckline with "twist gather" detail. Zip fastens at the back, and has a box pleat.

Sizing: this dress stretches to fit. It's standard Bettie Page Clothing though - I wear a 2X and the 2X fits fine, albeit in a rather vampy, Girl Can't Help It wriggly way! I've measured myself in it wearing the 2X, so the size chart is based on that. If you don't want to look too vampy round the tummy (this is especially for the larger ladies!), please go up one size.

Whether you're feeling naughty or nautical, the Captain dress is an elegant take on the classic sailor dress. It's made from navy blue stretch bengaline and is trimmed with white satin on the collars and is finished with a white vinyl belt. It fastens with a zip at the back.

The "Gossip Girl" dress: This dress is proving popular as it was worn by an actress on US tv programme Gossip Girl (I haven't seen it myself but I think it's like a cross between The OC and Sex & The City). Please note that in Gossip Girl, she'd had the dress shortened. I can't do that for you, but most dry cleaners (or helpful grannies) offer alterations so they might be able to help you.
